Yeehaw Junction: Cover Reveal

Prepare to be disturbed. Yeehaw Junction by Kayli Scholz is a grimy, unsettling horror novel set in rural Florida. The cover was designed by Indonesian graphic artist Hnwinanda, with additional design elements by FZ Boda and Don Smith. This gritty-looking collage has highlights of jungle-electric green: a color that is synonymous with 1999. The novel’s main character Skeet is a 12-year-old criminal, aspiring school shooter, and Marilyn Manson fan. Adopted into a family of throwaway children, Skeet learns the tricks of the trade, from selling dirty rotten VHS tapes to local perverts, to searching for an abducted girl.

Yeehaw Junction pulls no punches and spares no detail. If you love Sean Baker’s filmmaking (The Florida Project, Red Rocket, Anora) and the eerie, small-town novels by Joyce Carol Oates—you’ll never want to leave the chemical soil of Yeehaw Junction. The book is available for preorder now in the Moonstruck Books shop, and anywhere fine horror novels are sold.
